CHAIR

Büşra Zorba has over 16 years of experience in educational technology and leadership, specializing in integrating AI, digital transformation, and project management to drive innovation in learning environments. She is working as an Educational Technology Coordinator at SEV – Health and Education Foundation, where she leads and supports transformative initiatives that strengthen the professional capacity of more than 1,300 educators and enhance the learning experiences of over 5,000 students across seven schools.
She is deeply committed to empowering both students and educators with the skills, tools, and mindsets needed to excel in an increasingly digital world. By fostering collaboration, creativity, and innovation, she strives to design impactful learning ecosystems that prepare individuals for the future of education and work.
She worked as the Chair of BILWIC (Bilkent University Women in Computing) Student Club which was the first non-US ACM-W Student Chapter in the world and the first ACM-W Student Chapter in Europe.

VICE CHAIR

Nehir Yasan-Ak is an Assistant Professor of Management Information Systems at Akdeniz University. With an interdisciplinary background spanning computer engineering, sociology, science and technology policy, and computer education, she approaches technology, learning, and society from a multidimensional perspective.
She completed her Ph.D. in Computer Education and Instructional Technology and her M.Sc. in Science and Technology Policy Studies at Middle East Technical University (METU), where she also worked as a Research Assistant. She additionally holds bachelor’s degrees in Computer Engineering, Sociology, and Computer and Electronic Education, demonstrating her commitment to lifelong learning and interdisciplinary thinking.
Her research interests include artificial intelligence in education, instructional technology, digital literacy, mobile learning, problematic technology use, and scale development. Her work focuses on how digital technologies influence human behavior, learning processes, and educational ecosystems. Through her teaching, research, and international collaborations, she is dedicated to empowering individuals and communities—particularly women and youth—to thrive in an increasingly digital world.

COMMUNICATIONS

Ömer Albulak is an E-Learning Specialist and Educational Technologist at Tarsus SEV Schools, with strong hands-on experience in designing and implementing technology-enhanced learning environments at the K–8 level. He leads e-learning initiatives, supports teacher professional development, and contributes to the coordination of large-scale educational projects such as interdisciplinary STEM camps. His professional focus includes educational technologies, e-learning design, artificial intelligence in education, and teacher training, with an emphasis on practical application and sustainable impact. A graduate of Tarsus American College, he holds a bachelor’s degree in Photography and Video from Istanbul Bilgi University and has completed Leadership in Education studies at Harvard Graduate School of Education. Through mentoring educators and community-driven initiatives, he is committed to empowering teachers and advancing women’s participation and leadership in technology-driven educational spaces.

TREASURER

Reyyan Ayfer is working at Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey with a multitude of responsibilities: Instructor, Vice Chair of Computer and Instructional Technology Teacher Education, Director of the Institutional History Unit and Coordinator of BETS Bilkent Educational Technology Services. Her research interests include programming, data structures, computer science education, information ethics and security. Ayfer has held several leadership positions within ACM to improve computer science education and increase the representation of women in the field. She received the Anita Borg Change Agent Award in 2008 after serving as the ACM-W Ambassador of Turkey for 8 years. For the ACM Special Interest Group on Computer Science Education (SIGCSE), she organized 15th annual European conference Innovation and Technology in Computer Science Education (ITiCSE). For ACM’s Council on Women (ACM-W), Ayfer recently became the Regional Activities Chair, and she was the founding Chair of ACM-W Europe. She is also the faculty advisor for the ACM-W and ACM student chapters at Bilkent University.
