FIRST GRAD COHORT FOR WOMEN TURKEY
ACM-W Ankara is happy to announce that we have joined our forces with inzva to jointly hold the First Grad Cohort for Women – Turkey (GCWT) event, to empower the female graduate students (MS or PhD) studying at a Turkish university in our community.
ACM is the premier organization of computer scientists and ACM-W supports, celebrates, and advocates internationally for the full engagement of women in all aspects of the computing field, providing a wide range of programs and services to ACM members and working in the larger community to advance the contributions of technical women. inzva is a hacker community based in Istanbul, Turkey established in 2017. Focused on Algorithm and Artificial Intelligence, inzva works to cultivate the talents of Turkish students through a series of events ranging from year-long study groups to camps.
Grad Cohort will take place in Beykoz Kundura, where we will be welcoming over 40 talented women, bringing together experienced women in field together with students, in search of answers to their questions about the challenges, they are or may be facing in the future, related to their academic and/or professional lives including selecting and developing a research topic, building an outstanding career, and achieving a healthy work-life balance.
All female graduate students, studying in a Turkish university in the computer science field or a directly related field (e.g. Computer Engineering, Computer Technology and Information Systems, Informatics, Software Engineering, Information Systems Engineering, Computer Teacher Educations etc.) are welcome to apply.
